Rethinking Atatürk's Pioneer Vision Towards the Second Century of the Turkish Republic at the 100th Year of İşbank

Founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on August 26, 1924 as the first national bank of our country based on the idea that political independence could only be possible through economic independence, İşbank celebrates the 100th anniversary of its foundation.
The first edition of the international conference ‘Rethinking Atatürk's Pioneer Vision Towards the Second Century of the Turkish Republic’ was held in 2023 when we celebrated the 100th anniversary of our Republic and shared the viewpoints of national and international speakers on the future perspective of the Great Leader Atatürk, which illuminates our path even a century later. This year marks the second edition of this international conference to commemorate one of history's greatest statesmen, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and to celebrate the 100-year journey of İşbank, founded with his unique vision.
Hosted by Adnan Bali, İşbank Chairman, and Hakan Aran, İşbank CEO, the conference will introduce as speakers highly renowned scientists, academics and businesspeople including Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar, Prof. Dr.Paul Krugman, Steve Wozniak, Malcolm Gladwell, Prof. Dr. Şevket Pamuk, Refik Anadol, Prof. Dr. Gökhan Hotamışlıgil, Ana Paula de Jesus Assis, Prof. Dr. Daron Acemoğlu, Brett King, Prof. Dr. Philippe Aghion and Prof .Dr. Ufuk Akçiğit.
The conference will bring together eminent participants from Türkiye and the world at the İş Towers Hall in Istanbul on September 26-27, 2024.
